Brewed to coincide with Germany's famous fall celebration, our Casco Bay Oktoberfest is a truly authentic UR-MARZEN. We use a special Munich lager yeast, liberal doses of Munich and caramel malts and noble hops to produce this smooth, balanced and imminently drinkable beer in the great German tradition. PROST!

A bold amber colored beer with a big frothy textured off white head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. A moderate ringlet is left. Bready and caramel nose. Same in tasting with a slight grassy note. Moderate effervescent.

Poured a auburn red with little to no head. Not a true Bavarian festival lager, but more of a new england style harvest ale. A enjoyable cross between an irish red ale and a brown ale. Very smooth and drinakable, with both hop and malt qualitites, but nothing overwhelming. Drinkable, though not earth shattering.
