After a rough start, this beer is pure velvet - sweet, robust, rich, malty and roasted with lots of coffee in the flavour. Nice bitterness in the aftertaste. Just the right strength. A beer I'll never grow tired of - one of my definite favourites.

Black with brown foam head, fading into small ring/film, lacing. Aroma is quite strong, coffee, cigar. Perfect taste, coffee, toffee, chocome l notes. Aftertaste is long lasting. (Velp 201309)

Bottle courtesy of Thewolf: Poured a deep clear black color ale with a medium foamy head with some good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light roasted notes is the most dominant notes. Taste is a mix between some roasted notes with a touch of sweetness. Medium body with some good carbonation. Easily drinkable but nothing is remarkable in this beer.

Bottle from 1994. Pitch black colour, not much head. Aroma is mild roast, smoke, malts, chocolate and dark fruit. Flavour is plum, licorace and very smooth. Flavour has some roasted notes in it. A bit wineous. Has aged very well.

This pours a very dark brown with a frothy, yellow/brown head. The aroma is of nuts and cocoa. The moutfeel is dry and the beer itself is medium bodied. It's a nice porter.

Black, light brown sticky head. Burnt aroma of cocoa, black chocolate and coffee. Full flavour of chocolate, coffee and cocoa powder. Full oily body. Burnt finish of raisin and brown sugar.

Poured a very dark brown color with a small light tan head and light lacing on the glass. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, and roast. Taste is full of dark fruits, vanilla, chocolate, and a strong, bitter roastiness. Very creamy mouthfeel and light alcohol noticed. A nice Baltic Porter.
