well, it's better than bud. very light in color for a pale. The roundness of honey doesn't work with the hoppiness a pale ale should have. since this is an orange county brew, I had to try it. drain pour

Yikes. What made me think that this would be a good idea?
I'm w/ Mitch on this one: the word "Honey" really doesn't work for me in this sort of beer.
Very light in color, with some rather temporary foam, and even less lacing. And the aroma? Also quite transient and throw-away, IMO. Whatever nose you get from this beer is swift and fleeting, at best.
I was afraid of this being yet another overally-sweet and cloying over-honeyied mess of a beer. And while I was glad to find that this is not neccesarily a gooey mess of sweet-ass nastiness (paging: "JW Dundee's Honey Brown"), it really is still too sweet for my liking.
At least the mouthfeel and the finish is more along the lines of a Pale Ale, more-or-less. Ends on a stronger note, at least.
But overall, this was really quite unappealing and sweet for my taste. And not a solid beer to base further growth on, for a rather obscure address-less Beer Marketing Company. Is it 1997 all over again? Cause obscure "P.O.Box" breweries like this over-saturated the market with some really bad schwill. But unlike 1997, consumers in 2005 know more, and know better beers than this.
Much room for improvement.
Music: Bloodbath's "Bathe In Blood".

This pale ale pours a medium gold color. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, with load of honey and some grass and grain. A light to medium bodied American Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet with the flavor of added honey. Hops are slightly spicy and citrusy but all the honey masks them. Some grass and grain or is it the honey? Sorry, not my cup of tea. Hey, that would be a good place for all that honey. Note to self: DO NOT EVER buy another beer that has honey in the name unless it is a mead. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is sweet.
