Orange and light, very clear. Seems like a brit IPA with american hops. Balanced, but not very bitter, more of a east coast pale ale I think. Enjoyable, bit soapy.

Bottle: Poured a light copper color ale with a medium foamy head with average retention. Aroma of citrus hops is clearly detectable. Taste is a nice enough mix between citrus hops with some caramel malt. Body is a bit light and there is some metallic hops presence, which I couldn’t care about.

A strange looking IPA very dark more of a slightly hazy honey brown color actually it’s identical to ice tea, just a tiny amount of head was produced and vanished fairly quick. Nice vegetable hop aroma, not to over powering balanced with some nice smelling caramel malts, overall the smell is predominately sweet. Nice hop presence in the flavor not over the top insanely hoppy, the malts are not working for me I’m not sure if there cheap or if there just being too overpowered by the hops. The malts I can taste are a roasted caramel very smooth, but this flavor in my opinion does not mix will with the strong hop presence in IPA's. The after taste is grape fruit left behind by the hops, and this beer leaves my mouth feeling very dry and cottony. Didn't enjoy this beer forced my self to finish.

pours a monster foamy white head with great lacing, nice carbonation that tingles the tongue... great bitterness, lovely hops... first crack of the bottle i smelled yeast, very much like unibroue yeast. for cannery brewing this is pretty remarkable... highly enjoyable.

****update Aug 8th, 2008*** - old mark - 88777. still lacks aroma power, the flavour is quite muted, still highly drinkable but it is floating between an AIPA and an EIPA.
Same awesome pour, Better than average brew from The Cannery. Poured out monster thick white head that was always very present. Crazy lacing. Crystal clear heavy gold hue. Savoury floral airy hops with mild malts and faint nutty fruit held very well inside the glass. Long lasting crisp bitterness and mild malt flowed smooth across the tongue. Leafy? Nice dry bitter after taste that was not overwhelming and a bit of light fruit lingered. Easy drinking for sure! -

Pours with a good-sized foamy white head and a medium gold colour. Aroma was typical IPA, hoppy but not overpowering. Taste was also well-hopped with some malt to give it balance. A nice IPA.
