From the very start this brew billed as a larger is noticeably different. Its aroma was somewhat thicker and hoppier than a traditional lager. The brew poured a beautiful dark golden, almost amber, color. There was a large, creamy head. The taste was nice, smmoth and hoppier than run of the mill lagers. Give this a try.

Pale golden color with two fingers of head that slowly dissipate, but leaves lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma has a slight sweet malt smell, along with some grainy scents as well. Slight floral hops are also detected. Taste is sweet, and grainy, like chewing on spent grains from the tun. Finish is crisp, dry, and adequately bitter. A nice helles, but not the best. I can't say I was disappointed paying $10 for the winter sampler 12 pack.

Big fan of this beer, but then I like most non-commercial lagers..so draw your own conclusions. It was light, without the bitter aftertaste provided by darker beers. Decent head, some lace. Pale, as you'd expect. Tastes a lot like a lager should.

Just tried this as it was new on tap at my local pub. Gold in color, pours very little head, but also very smooth with a little bit of a fruity taste to it.

Pours with a pale golden body topped by a thin white head with some lacing. Slightly grainy malt aroma with corn notes and a slight hop balance. Slightly sweet malt flavor well balanced with hops and a slight caramel note. Light bodied and very smooth.
