Poured a murky, reddish brown color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel malts, nuts, and doughy rye. Faint oxidation noticed in the aroma as well. Taste of caramel malts, some nuts, raisins, a dry rye character, with light smoke, some citrus fruits, and a dry finish. Didn’t have that huge, chewy mouthfeel you usually notice in rye beers.

You really need to let this one warm up a little before drinking it as it lets the rye come through in the finish. Otherwise, it comes across strongly as a hefeweizen. The beer was fresh enough that the yeast hadn't completely settled and lumped together so it was a muddy amber brown. There was heavy carbonation that formed a nice stiff head that lasted nicely. There was a bit of bubblegum and clove in the aroma and flavor. In the finish, the rye really comes out and makes a nicely spicy aftertaste. Good beer.

Light brown color, VERY cloudy. Think coffee with cream and sugar. Large to medium sized, quickly dissipating head. Aroma is rye bread, and citrus. Medium bodied rye beer. Malts are bready and yeasty, lots of lemony citrus flavors as well. Sort of herbal and earthy. Very smooth, easy drinking beer. This is the best rye beer I’ve tasted so far. As close to ‘liquid bread as I’ve seen. Kind of like it. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Aroma of rye bread, wheat, and citrus. Appearance is murky orange with a good head and a LOAD of sediment. Flavor is quite doughy and sour with a bit of yeast. Similar to a glass of OJ. Different in many respects. Overall an ok experience.
