The Pacific Northwest's rain is almost as famous as its beer. "Dark Rain", an intensely hopped, yet surprisingly smooth black ale, will shower your taste buds with roasted malt and chocolate flavors derived from black wheat and dark crystal malt. Enjoy the darkness.

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Strong aroma is quite hoppy with smoky, yeasty and caramel hints. It pours a dark, barely transparent cola brown with a thick and fine-bubbled light tan head that leaves a good amount of lacing. Flavor has a hoppy and slightly bitter core plus smoky and grassy notes and hints of malt and unsweet chocolate. Firm-bodied texture has plenty of fizz and sass.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

It pours a thick and very dark brown with a thin light-tan head and copious lacing. An aroma of roasted malts, hops, wild grasses, pine, orange and grapefruit, light coffee, unsweetened chocolate, bitterness, and mild spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and somewhat rich. Flavors of roasted malts, hops, orange and grapefruit, unsweetened chocolate, coffee, and spiciness. Interesting .. sort of tastes like good dark rain..
