Are you kidding me? This pours like motor oil. Thick copper head. It's appearance is as good as it gets. Nose of stout and porter. Thin white head. This is an excellent beer...... Wait the taste. there is none. i was robbed. the taste?????????????????????. There is none. Dammit. No wonder. It is soooooooooooo. Cheap.

Poured out dark, very little head(possibly to cold). Some roasted malt aroma, moderate coffelike aroma also. With little head the retention was moderate. Slight nutty character, although I was expecting more caramel flavor to penetrate, not much for me. More like a brown porter than a flavored porter. I liked the toastiness, somewhat of a chocolate aftertaste. I consider it a drinkable beer, not over the top in flavor, but enough to quench the thirst for a porter. It seemed to have a medium body, with low carbonation( again not sure if to cold). Overall nice a dark, toasty beer to drink for almost any cold night. recommend to try.

Sampled from bottle. Pours an opaque ebony with an orange-tan head. The appearance is enhanced by generous lacing left along the sides of the glass. The aroma is caramel, plums and spice. The flavor is mocha and roasted malt with perhaps a hint of flavoring hops in the middle. Well-balanced. Tart aftertaste. Smooth, lightly carbonated and medium-bodied.

Rich malt aroma with plenty of hops present as well, maybe cascade. The head was very impressive at first: dark brown with some red, tall and dense with large dimples. The flavor is delicious, well-balanced. However, for being included in the name of the beer, the presence of caramel is barey observable.

This black brew is topped with a thick caramel colored head. the aroma is laced with hops and the sweetness of caramel. the coffee flavor is sweet yet bitter with a hint of chocolate and caramel.
