Nice head upon entry in to glass. Retent was a moderate length. Aroma's of some spice, with slight hop, low malt, some grapefruit. Flavors of slight hop, low malt, little lemon and grapefruit. Mouth feel is creamy medium carbonation, smooth. Fairly nice interpretation, well balanced, easy drinking.

With a prominent, yet lite malt aroma, some phenols present, low hop aroma, poured out golden, nice head retention, moderate carbonation, sweet malt flavor with hint of spice, maybe honey also, slight fruit breaks thru when it warms up alittle, with medium body smooth quality, overall impression copper color, some malt sweetness, slight spicy and some fruit accent. A drinkable beer to say the least, nice to have when relaxing, warming up to do some beer reviews.

This is a prelimanary review, being though I believe that the cork being small that the carbonation was not what was meant to be. Fruity with slight spice aroma, some ginger, dark amber color, low head retention, seemingly low carbonation. Mild ginger, low sugar, not overly sweet, as it warms the maltiness appears. Somewhat rough going down( but from Dogfish Head that is the expected), Little presents of body for mouth feel, low alcohol content make a good drinkable beer year round were it available. But as stated before about the cork I believe that the flavor and all roundness of the beer would be better, if it were more carbonated. I am going to see about getting a couple more bottles to see if carbonation improves, if not it is still a good beer, I waited a couple years since hearing of it to try it, and I am not disappointed with it at all. I recommend to try at least two bottles or more.

Pours out chestnut brown, with an extremely high head retention, great carbonation. Moderately high malt aroma, with somewhat of a raison, date, plum alittle spicy aroma also. Complex malt, with a clove spiciness, low hop flavor, moderate raison, plum flavor also. Smooth, silky, Full complex body, with some warming sensation. A dark, rich, malty, Strong ale. Drink what you will, savoir the rest, Enjoy thoroughly

Nice copper color, some malt aroma, small phenol level present, a slight citric nose also present, not much fruitiness to it, slight spice character, hardly noticeable, maltiness never really jumps out at you but it is distinguishable to the palate, moderate body, smooth medium carbonation, a drinkable beer for the season, some spice to accent spicy food, nice
