THis is available in Ontario - I wish it wasn't, that way I could have avoided it. A dark gold beer that reeks of alcohol and tastes like alcohol and cream corn.

First of all, I drank this nearing room temperature. Looks ok with the amber/gold colour and the decent ammount of white head (which didn't last) with minisule lacing, very little carbonation and some floaties - all they had to do is filter this through one of those red and white knee high socks. Aroma is pretty good considering what we have here: malts (not of any savoury type), grains, honey and some alcohol. But the smell doesn't make my head whip back. Taste is better than most of these horrid Euro strongs. At room temp (close) this should be undrinkable, but it isn't. Flavour rolls around the cheap malts, some more honey and something else. I swear I did note a sip or two that had something resembling caramel. Mouthfeel is ok too, a bit too sypury, but otherwise smooth. Finishes with a touch of bitterness, but overall leaves the lasting dry taste of alcohol. Like I said, I found this to be better than most but I've rated to my samplings in this style. I would, however drink a canadain lager rated at 2.2 before getting another Boris Bold, but if I need Euro 8.6%, this is the place to go....I wonder how this was cold? Maybe I was desperate for a beer.

beer pours a golden color with a white head that vanished quickly but had decent lacing. smell is fruity, sweet honey and slighty grainy... taste is a bit sweet with quite a tinge of alcohol appearant!! not the best by any means... glad i only bought 1 of these... now i must chug back the rest of it while i watch the Oilers kick the Hurricanes ASS!

500ml can: Poured a semi-dark yellow color beer with large white foamy head with minimal retention. Carbonation seems quite low and the beer has a strong grainy aroma, which I didn’t enjoy. Taste is also way too grainy for my taste and this beer resemble more of a malt liquor then a European strong lager. Alcohol is not well hidden which doesn’t really matter since this beer ended up being poured in the drain.

Has an average malt smell, but perhaps the greatest appearance I've ever seen for a strong beer. The creamy head just went on and on and had a deeper gold colour than usual for this type of beer, like fresh apple cider. This however is where the praise ends, as the rest of this beer pour-worthy. The mouthfeel is thin, and for a strong beer/malt liquor, there's quite a bit of water, whch does dial down the offensive strong alcohol taste but is just plain weird!

I love everything about it except the actual beer. I can't say it was "hard" to drink - I've had much worse in these strong beers - seemingly catered to alcoholics - but the alcohol was evident. Nothing to this beer at all. Loved the can, the Boris silhouette and slogan. Unfortunatly, the beer, is far from anything great.

This french malt liquor pours a golden-amber colour with a light creamy head that dissipates quick enough. The scent is not too strong, with some grain malt and mild honey. The alcohol is definitely felt in the taste. Not much aftertaste. Bitter finish. Gets smoother as you drink it. Still prefer the Mongoose as my favorite malt liquor.
