Comes out of the growler a dark amber, more at chestnut or even cola, with a thick and bubbly, though not long-lasting, pale wheat head. Malty aroma has an earthy, yeasty undertone and a hint of apple. Mouth-filling malty flavor has fruity, earthy and yeasty hints - if not spectacular, definitely better than most ales of this type. Long live microbreweries! Texture is smooth with a fair amount of fizz, not too thick, a little above average. If this is Blue Tarp’s first effort, they have a bright future.
