Malty aroma has a strong overtone of blueberry - and I love blueberries! It pours a clear yellow with a thick white head that hangs around for a while. Malty flavor has a firm blueberry overtone that is sweet but not too sweet. Watery texture does not have much fizz - but that is this beer’s weakest point. Overall, not a great beer, but fine if you like blueberries.

Pours a clear gold with no head but forget that let me get right to the point. This smells like and taste like blueberries. The mouthfeel is a little watery but it doesn't matter because the blueberries and malt taste great.

Did this one a few years back when I went to the States. Third blueberry beer in a week This one seems like a better one. Golden colour with and off-white head and nice stickiness for lace. Grainy with fresh blueberry puree scent. Same for taste, just a little lighter. A little hop is felt in the finish.

Pours out a clear bright golden color with a slim, brief, white head and little lacing. The aroma is sweet-scented, aromatic blueberry notes, and enough underlying malty hints to remind you you're drinking a beer. The taste is sweet, sugar-toned malts with very mild notes of faintly toasted breadiness to it. Blueberry flavor through and beyond the finish, naturally, which, when joined with the initial sugariness, is like biting into the sugar-coated top of a blueberry waffel. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.

I had my doubts about a fruit beer. Too many times they turn out to be disappointing. This one was a cloudy golden color. A big foamy textured white head rises above. There was some hang time, settling eventually into a soapy thick ringlet. Everything about the nose and tasting is blueberries.

Have only had maybe 4 or 5 blueberry beers, but this is the best one. Can't wait to buy a 6-pack to get the full effect. Not overwhelming of fruit, but the taste is there and the rest of the beer is smooth and crisp. The old blueberry wheat from Sea Dog was my choice before this, but this is more of a clearer pilsnery version which IMO works better. May be a bit pricey @ $10/six for only 4.3%, but only live once and worth the extra buck or so.

A fun story to go along with this beer. My waittress wasn't sure of all the beer they had in bottles at Houlihans, Lawrenceville, NJ. I said "Bring back an exotic beer, whatever the bar manager recommends." Well I guess he was feeling this one at the time, and here I am. Although a bit shocked at first, I really enjoyed this. Poured a clear, seemingly golden color with the slightest of a blue tint. A small white head that almost instantly disappeared, a little carbonated. The aroma..wow, blueberries! You can definitely smell it right away. The malts in this beer linger behind the fruitiness. Tasted great and refreshing, definitely blueberries (like blueberry pie, or like already mentioned, pancakes). The fruit flavor is not overpowering at all though, the perfect amount so that this still takes like a beer. Overall I liked it a lot, crisp and refreshing, and definitely something different.

different. wasn't too sure that i could say this actually tasted like a beer. more like champagne, or even a Zima. Very bubbly. light blue tinge- odd yet cool looking. smells nice, hint of blueberries. little body, just carbonation. there's no malt/ hop complexity, but it does taste somewhat refreshing. looks nice, smells nice, and it even tastes pretty good- but not if you're looking for a beer

Wow, I really enjoyed this. The aroma upon opening was excellent-very abundant smell of blueberries (well put by soutsalehouse re: blueberry pancakes). This poured a beautiful amber coloring with thin lacing and a few bubble. The tate had a nice hint of blueberries, but certainly not overpowering or sicky sweet. I found it very enjoyable and refreshing and would certainly seek this out again....excellent fruit beer!!

Sure, why not? It’s blueberry season in the mid-Atlantic. Like many fruit beers, this stuff is all fruit, blueberries in this case, in the aroma but malty and sort of plain-jane bready in the flavors. It’s not bad (that’s saying something for the style) but it just doesn’t showcase the fruit the way you’d hope a fruit beer could.
