American colonists used generous amounts of American grain and a modest amount of American hops and created a new beer style, the American Pale Ale (APA). Enjoy sweet maltiness and a firm body. Topped off with fresh hops grown in and around Fredericksburg.

From Steve's party pig at Ed & Victoria's Holiday Buffet. Way over-pressurized. Had to be dispensed into a pitcher, then repoured into glasses. Unremarkable appearance. Maybe a tad lighter than expected. Clean smelling, with a nice hop presence. Taste is typical hop-focused Pale Ale grapefruit. Disappointingly thin-bodied. Finished clean. An OK regional ale, but not one for export.

Poured a hazy orange color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of nutmeg(!?!), pine, and light citrus hops. Taste of orange peel, citrus hops, and some tart lemon. This was rather interesting, I am not sure what they were going for here.
