I have sampled a number of different types of beers and I always come back to this one. The best of the best and for the price in the US it is an enjoyable bottle of beer. Blanche de Namur is great any time of the year! After working in the sun in the Summer, relax in the shade with a Blanche de Namur. A number 10 beer,

The beer pours a shiny metallic gold color, very hazy, and topped with a frothy white cap. Aroma is sweet wheat malt, banana, clove, light citrus, and yeast. Mouthfeel is average, maybe over carbonated. Flavor is sweet malted wheat to start and finished with a bitter spicy finish.

Hazy white yellow with huge white foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is citrus, but also some dough. Taste is fresh, not too outstanding, present, more in distance, citrus fruit. Aftertaste is lasting. (Utrecht 201303)

Happy Belgian National Day! Nice bubbly yellow with a frothy white head and large drapes of lacing. Clean aromas of oranges and lemons, a touch of coriander and black pepper, wet wheat. Taste is also clean and citrusy with a nice spicy quality, fizzy, tasty and clean. Nice summer beer. Refreshing.

Blanche de Namur is a witbier with character. Direct after is has been served the aroma's of lemon and coriander starts to reveal. The taste is really fresh, with the lemon in front. This is a really good witbier to start your evening with.

Witbiers can be hit or miss, and this one for me has always been a miss, but I have a lot of friends who really enjoy it. It pours a nice hazy golden colour with a huge white head. Aroma is wheat, spice, and citrus, but nothing outstanding. The flavour is certainly refreshing, but is weak. No one flavour stands out above the others.

Straw yellow body with a large, foamy white head that has no intention of leaving. Beautiful aroma of lemon and peach with a soft clove presence. Crisp and fairly light, diminishing after taste, the faintness of the whole mouth feel detracts from making this exceptionally refreshing. On the other hand the bottle could be enjoyed fairly quickly if one were very thirsty. Flavor is a tad dull compared to the wonderful aroma. Same fruitiness, but the spices are more subdued. A dry, grassy flavor comes forward as well as a hint of banana. Decent Witbier, but I’ve found better ones here in the states.

Pours a deep yellow, good creamy white head and lacing . .pretty light stuff, spice and wheat dominate .. . enjoyable but pretty muddled and baby like .. . . . when walking into town one must take care not to upset the locals by doing anything that might seem out of place or random... frying on acid in the middle of town square is prohibited...

750 ml bottle. Hazy pale yellow color with a moderate head that fizzles down rather quickly. Pretty simple, citrus orange and coriander flavors, yeast and some spices hit the palate towards the back end. I didn't pick up the licorice. A little watery and thin with a mild acidic/spitzy mouthfeel. Refreshing on a hot day but nothing too outstanding.

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy yellow color ale with some white haze and a small foamy head with good retention but no lacing. Aroma of medium wheat malt with some light coriander. Taste is also dominated by some nice wheat malt notes with some coriander and orange notes. Body is too thin and watery and carbonation is a bit low for the style. More spices and a bigger malt profile would have increase flavour profile. I guess this is OK for the style but I have definitely tasted better.
