An English-style ale with a deep red colour, malty palate, and lingering hops in the finish. Brewed in tribute to and in celebration of those brave men who rode to battle in gliders and parachutes on the night of June 5, 1944, in advance of the main D-Day invasion (British paras wore red berets in 1944, and US paras wear them now). Perhaps those men drank something like this in British pubs in the months leading up to Operation Overlord.
