Beach Freak is a hazy, New England-style pale ale that’s dry hopped with Strata and Citra. Strata lends a strawberry flavour and Citra comes through as stone fruit and citrus. The combination is incredible! Although this beer is supremely hoppy, it lacks bitterness and is very easy drinking. Think tropical juice and refreshment for the year’s hottest days.

Tall can from LCBO. Pours a massive frothy white head with thick soapy lace and has a slightly hazy orangey coloured appearance. Lively carbonation. Aromas of herbal and floral hops with some citrus and grassy notes. Flavours of grassy and piney hops, some yeast as well as some oats and barley malt hints with a bit of citrus hints. Slick and drying mouthfeel.

Hazy, bright golden-yellow colour with a big frothy-creamy head, good stay, leaving some nice creamy lacing. Aromas of citrus, some grassiness and with a touch of watermelon. The taste is also lighter, like an APA, with still the citrus, grassy hops and hints of strawberries. Juicy mouthfeel with just enough dryness. Interesting, but not one I would drink a bunch.
