The light red and amber coloring of this beer is a result of using special crystalized barley. This smooth style starts off with a slightly sweet mellow mouth feel and finishes up with a clean finish. Using fresh floral hops at the start of the boil allows the complex subtle maltiness to shine. A classic!

Enjoyed at the brewpub (last visit, they were sold out). Arrived with a small bubbly head, and settled into a thin layer. Not much carbonation. Had a hazy, coppery appearance. Not much of a distinct aroma, maybe a bit of vanilla, wheats and grains. Taste is of roasted malts, spices, hints of lemon and tropical fruits. Slight watery mouthfeel. Not too bad.
