City Hops, our first Harvest Ale of the season, uses fresh hops handpicked from Glen's garden in the city of Ottawa, the friendly barman at Sir John A Pub. A fresh, green earthiness on the nose is complemented by big citrus, a fresh hop grassy goodness and bready malt backbone on the palate. Using 100% fresh Centennial hops from the bine to the boil on the same day, this is a true local brew. Finishing with a slight bitterness that lingers at the back, City Hops is light, refreshing, and the perfect way to end the summer.

One of the last bottles available at the brewery on their 2nd anniversary. Pours a slightly golden-orange colour with big frothy warm cap, long lasting and some decent lacing. Bread malt aromas with lots of deep green grass. Hints of sweetness, with caramel malts. The taste is mildly bitter with some decent dryness. Cereal grain lingers. The hops are not too crazy in this one, making it a beautiful Harvest Ale that is easy to drink.
