Get Schooled - A Red Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with @craftottawa in support of @cnib_ontario and their Beyond the Classroom program. The beer is a red ale that we hopped like an American IPA. It has both piney notes from the Simcoe, along with tropical notes from Vic Secret. It has a nice caramel malt middle that you might expect from a red ale, and a nice dry finish with medium bitterness. Along with CRAFT we’ll be donating a portion of proceeds from each beer sold on tap and in 4-packs out of the brewery. Come out and support a great cause this winter. Available in our retail store for take-out and on tap at both our taproom and CRAFT Ottawa.

Pours a hazy amber colour with a light-beige frothy head, decent stay and some thick-enough foamy lacing. Fruity aromas with the caramel malts and some nice citrus hop notes. The taste shows the fruitiness of a red ale with the hoppiness of an APA, going on an IPA. The mouthfeel is very dry. After having their Red Rocket which I was not fond of, this one was much better.
