Last Pumkpin beer of the season, to my happiness (at this point) and my wife's sadness. Bethlehem Brew Works Pumpkin Ale poured an orange colored body with only a small head. The taste was spiced with pumpkin and cinnamon. Not a bad pumpkin beer.

Okay this is my last pumpkin for the season. Poured amber color with small head. Aroma was typical for pumpkin, spices. Flavor was done well good pumpkin flavor and spices were just right. This one fell short on the mouthfeel, a little to thin for me.

11.13.05 Bomber bottle. Pale copper color below lofty, off-white head of fine foam. Steady, visible carbonation. Aroma is straight pumpkin pie with lots of spice -- mostly clove, also nutmeg and cinnamon -- some biscuity yeast, and sugary graham cracker. Flavor is at first mildly spicy and soft with definite notes of pumpkin pie filling, the store bought stuff. About midway through it starts coming apart. A peppery, lagery yeast note comes in and flees as a watery body and sweetness takes over. Finishes with a lingering spice and little else. Overall, drinkable but disappointing, it seems to lack direction...that must be hard to do with a beer that states its direction in the name, pumpkin ale.

Pours clear orange color with medium white head. Smells like pumpkin pie and cinnamon. Taste is more cinnamon than I'd prefer, but has a nice pumkin pie aftertaste. Not as good as Dogfish Head's Pumpkin Ale, but much better than Blue Moon's.

Pours a nice orange color with a small white head. Subtle spiced aroma, with accents of cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavor is not as strong as other spiced or pumpkin ales. But it has a nice mellow flavor that is enjoyable, but there are better ones out there.

Pumpkin ale of standard appearance: amber orange with a small head. Glass laced with spices at the Brew Works (Fall 2004), although less fancy from the bottle over a year later. This one actually had a prominent pumpkin flavor and wasn't overdone by spicing (perhaps could have used a touch more). A nice job for what it is.

Poured a dark gold color with an off white head. The pumpkin really took precendence in both the aroma and taste, and the spices sat nicely in the background. Overall the flavor could have been fuller, but this was still a decent beer.
