I don't know that its fair to review this as it was a 2 year old bottle, but what the Hell, it was still decent, no off flavors. A bit too much malt with only a little peachy hops, could be the age, its hard to tell. Still an above average beer.

12 ounce bottle .. . interesting choice for your 25th anniversary .. . pours a old penny brown .. . medium foam .. . light bitterness, squashed fruit .. . decent brew but not for an anniversary .. . . Are you going to marry a carrot?

Another pfoxyjohn brew from the Hootenanny. Burnt orange lightly hazy pour with a tight short cream colored head. Tropical fruity aroma, mangoes, tangerines, oranges, pineapples, slight floral, slight malts. Big tropical flavors too: same fruits as the aromas, pretty sweet too, not a lot of bitter linger but still big on flavor. Nice 25th Anniversary beer. Thanks for another good one John.

Shared bottle at local tasting, as Bell’s 25th Anniversary Ale. Hazy amber colour, low off-white head. Strong sweetish aroma, bordering on "sickly". Sweet and alcoholic flavour, also resinous hops. Not my favourite this one.

Courtesy of heybeerman... pours deep murky brown settling to almost clear with only the faintest of head and moderate lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with flavors to match. Nice combination of flavor, aroma and texture, but not a standout.

Bottle from Pinocchio’s in Media. Pour was a beautiful amber/orange pour, fluffy head. The aroma was sweet and light fruity. Big and malty, sticky sweet. The hops were there, but not quite enough to balance out the malt. Bottle code entered on site says this was bottled on 8/12/2010 (drank 11/27/10), so not horribly unfresh.

Received via trade. Aroma really wasn’t good or bad, it was just really hard to pick up anything other than some light alcohol and sweet-fruity malts. Some metallic notes and yeast also pops us. Taste has some aspirin bitterness, medium honey notes. Some cough-drop like cherry/pineapple seems to oddly show up. Medium bodied. Quite disappointing to be honest. 25 years is a significant milestone. My opinion is they missed the mark on this. -

Pours copper with a thin thin head. Decent lacing. Aroma is faint. Flavor is slightly hoppy with a sweet finish. All in all good but not as special as hoped.

Apparently got a pretty good deal on this since the price jumped up $4/6 pack right after I bought it from $14 to $18 (and some places were limiting folks to 2 bottles at $4-5 each). Citrusy hoppy aroma makes you think IPA but there is a definite twist in the flavor making me think of the beer more like a Belgian Strong Ale--yeasty esters and sweetness pop out to muffle the hoppy bitterness I was expecting. An interesting beer but not quite what I expected.
