Pours an average amount of frothy beige head and has an amber/copper appearance. Excessive carbonation. Grainy malt aromas with some light notes of caramel malts, very faint. Flavours are fairly bland, just more grainy and malty like. Pretty faint Munich malts, brings out some rusty like flavours. Not bad but pretty standard red ale.

Color is amber-red with off-white foam head. Aroma is malty, some tastes/hints of caramel. Taste is malty, again some caramel, but also some other spices there. Good bittersweet aftertaste. (Montreal 201210)

Amber lager, medium head quickly fading, sweet malt aroma and the flavor is quite thin too bland for my taste.Mouthfeel too weak also a bit flat low carbonation... I'm disappointed i would expect more from that brewery...

Bought this Belle Gueule 15 pack for an awesome price at Loblaws in Hull, Quebec. Under a buck a bottle... for over-par swill. Pours a golden-orange colour with a beautiful creamy head. Dissipates quick enough, but leaves a creamy coat on top. The lacing is also part of this... very thick and creamy all around. The small bubble carbonation is steady. Kind of sweet smelling with some hop bitterness. Notes of grain malt and roasted malt. The taste is of grainy malt with slight bitterness in the finish. More grainy in the aftertaste. Overall smooth, and medium creamy mouthfeel. The bitterness comes back in the long aftertaste. A very decent vienna.

Bottle: Amber lager style beer with a good head. Lack of spice or aftertaste but some failry nice malt taste. A bit too bland for my liking... Not the best from this brewer.

And to think I did everything I could to avoid Canadian macro swill. Im not even a big fan of the style, so the rating is going to be even lower. Amber color and a decent head. Thats where the good part ends. The beer falls as quickly as the head dissapears. Lightly malted, lightly hopped this stuff doesn’t have the balance to make it blend into a palatable beverage. I finished it at least, so thats something.
