We’re not foolin’ you! If you’re ready to have some Nun, you’ll be pleased to know that the Sister Bad Habit Amber Ale is hitting the streets for the second year in row! Last year’s event was such a hit that Asheville Brewing and the Thirsty Monk have decided to make event more. For April 1st, 22oz bottles of Sister Bad Habit Amber Ale will roll out, with the Bad Sister appearing in draft next Wednesday, April 7th (which will also be the day of the “Nun Run” bus trips from Lazoom). Sister Bad Habit is billed as a tasty ale that is the creative collaboration of Asheville Brewing, the Thirsty Monk, and the folks at LaZoom Tours. Galaxy and Azacca hops give the beer an interesting and approachable flavor that can be enjoyed by craft beer neophytes and Mother Superiors alike. At 5.6% ABV, you should be able to avoid being too bad. We’re expecting Sister Bad Habit to sell out quickly – last year’s batch was gone in a flash, leaving patrons nun too happy. Even though they’ve made more this year, you can bet she won’t be around long.

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7
Pours hazy honey amber with a thin eggshell head. Aroma has firm toasty malt and hoppy notes. Malty flavor has hoppy, hay, and subtle pear and apple notes. Mouthfeel has acceptable body and not much fizz. A bad habit worth maintaining.
