On tap at Dog and Bear Pub, Toronto. Pours a good size frothy lightly tanned head and has an amber appearance. Big thick sticky lacing. Aromas of toasted malts, mild earthy hops. Flavours are mostly on the malty side with some subtle citrus and earthy hops in the mix. Drying mouthfeel. A little bit of bitterness on the palate.

Purchased at Intermarché St-Roch in Quebec City (where my band was playing). Pour a light copper-orange colour with a big off-white head that is creamy, with long retention and leaves dirty lacing. The aroma is of fresh hop at first pour, and then it changes to caramel malt and metallic notes. I find the body to be pretty light. The hop comes out on top in the flavours with some nice light bitterness, changing into some grainy malt and caramel, to then have the hop come back in the aftertaste. Quite a pleasant taste overall and nice to see the hop present (as the description says).

Not a good one to say the least, miss the roundness, too lightly hoppy, metallic flavor, there is no balance and no sweetness in this offering a very poor Brown ale.
