This big beer has a beautiful malt character to accompany the intense hop profile. Plus a hint of roast character.

I full on realize this isn't my type of style, yet I continue to try them out hoping to find a few that are memorable. This one is interesting, but far from occupying valuable real estate in my mental collection. Nice amber brown pour with a slowly diminishing head and a thin coat of lacing. Odd hop combination reminiscent of fresh Spring growth and cat piss. It may sound gross, but it's not too shabby. Medium roast and a bit of chocolate with a generous scoop of nuts. Caramel malts shore it up and the sticky hops are ever present. Not bad, but not anything I'll be revisiting. Still beats that mess of an attempt by Stone, and at a mere portion of the cost.
