Welcome to the Summer Solstice! This copper colored ale is smooth, malty, and lightly sweet, with a delicate hint of spice for that oh-so-drinkable, extra velvety flavor. The character is lighter in body than its cousin, our wildly popular Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale . This is a silky, creamy dream, perfect as a warm weather beer. But why call it Cerveza Crema? Two reasons: One, this beer has become a favorite among many of our Hispanic friends, so it’s named in their honor. Two, it sounds cool, and cool is what you want when its hot. Serve at 40 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit for the most optimal flavor and enjoyment. ¡Salud!

Sampled on draft at the Choc taproom. Pours dark copper with a thin white head and some lace. Pleasant bready-juicy fruit aroma. Pretty fruity flavor too with some caramel. Not my thing style-wise but it could be a good summer thirst quencher.

What an easy beer to drink... Sixer of cans from d3atlanta. Cloudy red amber light gold pour, some head and lacing. Light honey aroma and flavor, ever so slightly gritty and grainy, hint of corn, lightly fruity, very little hops to bitter. Super easy and refreshing to drink. Thanks Sam!

Aroma has wheaty and yeasty notes plus a firm tone of honey. It pours a dark, coppery amber with a fairly thick wheat head. Looks more like a regular ale than a wheat, but so what. Crisp, wheaty, malty flavor has yeasty and honey undertones and just a hint of sweet fruit. Smooth flavor has good body and plenty of fizz. Good for summer - hell, good any time of year.

Quickly fading head, and some sticky lacing. Pours a copper color body. Creamy is the best smell to describe it. Some very mild, citrusy hops with a caramel malt backbone, a light smelling beer. Tastes like cream soda, some caramel, cream, citrus, and a touch of brown sugar.Light and smooth, its a drinkable beer, but nothing too impressive.

Bottled. Copper coloured with a mediumsized off-white creamy head. Aroma is toffee, sweet malts as well as some mild floral hoppyness. Flavour is rather similar with some bready notes. Warming up it also gets some honeyish notes as well.

This is only my second Cream Ale. This one is a deep amber colored beer. A small creamy textured off white head rises above. Not much hang time. And the lacing is reduced to a ringlet and gentle cap. The creamness is so evident on the palate. A light medium bodied beer. Nicely carbonated. The nose is light and mostly nondescrpt malt. In the tasting there is a slight sweet orange, malt and subtle hops.

This beer pours a nice golden color with a big, creamy head. It doesn’t smell quite strongly enough for me and is a bit generic. It’s sweet, maybe a bit caramel-ish with malt as the strongest presence. The beer tastes pretty good at first with a lot of sweet malt but finishes with a not so great note. For some reason, it reminded me of old crackers, but that’s not quite right. This is probably just a personal dislike of Cream Ales, which I’ve found often have a funny aftertaste. The mouthfeel is quite creamy, but the off note really hurts things for me. I appreciate that the carbonation is light to keep the feel creamy, but I found it to be a bit watery upfront and I’m probably just reacting to the lack of carbonation.

Pours deep amber with a thin head that yields spots of lacing. Malty, cream, some light spicy hops but everything really does take a back seat to the cream flavor, which doesn’t do it for me. Cream soda comparisons are justified. Overall not a bad beer at all for the summer. I enjoyed the one I had enough in the hot sun after some painting but this won’t be something I will seek out too often.

There really wasn't anything special going on here for me. Copper in color, smells of mainly honey with background of caramel and vanilla. A little creamy in taste, but not appearance or texture. Tastes like a honey beer. My first introduction to Anderson Valley not the best one, but I understand this is a seasonal ale, and might be one of their inferior releases.
