English: Hopefully we don’t insult anybody by claiming that Oklahoma was quite a beer wasteland until just recently. Then, along came the brothers Healey, Colin and Chase, with guts, stamina and an awful lot of talent. And well, the rest is history… Prairie - originally a gypsy operation - soon became one of the most buzzed about craft breweries, not only in Oklahoma, not only in the US, but in the world. So when these dudes were invited to the Copenhagen Beer Celebration it was only natural for us to invite them to Amager also. And naturally the style chosen for our collaboration had to be a Farmhouse Saison, a style that Prairie has very much excelled at brewing. One of the Amager crew is still terribly ashamed of sleeping through a tornado warning at a motel room somewhere in Oklahoma years ago, so out of respect for the powers from above we named the beer "Tulsa Twister". As loud and frightening as a twister is, as cool and laid back are the dudes from Prairie. We had a great day of brewing and friendship - we hope it shows in the beer.

500 ml bottle, batch #888, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Very pale yellow colour, slightly hazy. Pours fizzy with a large white head. The aroma is distinctly hoppy with fruity notes and a catty hint, also pleasant and mild spicy notes, a hint of farmhouse. The flavour is medium dry and crisp, again with mild spicy / peppery notes, also fruity hops. Medium bitter aftertaste.

Batch #1504 and best before 01/2019. Hazy light-golden colour with a white cap and some nice lacing. Beautiful aromas of citrus notes, Belgian Ale yeast sweetness and fresh grassy hops. Peppery taste with the lemon zest notes, coriander and earthy hints. Quite a nice slightly different Saison.

500ml bottle from LCBO. Batch #1508. 8.8% abv on attached sticker. Pours an average size frothy off-white head. Good retention. Has a slightly hazy pale golden appearance. Some dirty lacing remains. Aromas are quite citrusy, some tropical fruit notes. Flavours are also equally citrusy with lots of tropical fruit notes as well and yeast. Hints of lemon and mints. Some bitterness in the finish but still well balanced with sweetness. Also a little bit tarty. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Good stuff.

Like virtually any Prairie beer, I had to acquire one this outside, I mean way outside Oklahoma. I speak this half truth with a half smile as I am extremely proud of the success of my home state beer. Pours cloudy gold with full, foamy head. Lots of funky notes off the yeast play against bright lemon, apple, and evergreen. Reminded me a great deal of Funky Gold Mosaic, which is a good thing.
