Tasted on tap at Beer Revolution on 5/4/2011. This amber ale pours a medium amber color from the tap. Small to medium sized off-white foamy head. The aroma is roasty malt, caramel, fruity, nutty and sweet. A medium bodied amber/brown ale. The malts are roasty, caramel and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Nice carbonation. Not sure if this beer is a hoppy amber, a hoppy brown ale or a mix of the two. Sort of reminds me of a roasty Bitter American. Very drinkable beer, a little high in alcohol for a session ale, but it would work as one. There is a touch of residual sweetness at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
