A traditional amber ale, well balanced with roasty finishing malts and just the right bitterness. Amber Sun is dark red to the eye, but not heavy on the palate.

Thin offwhite head with some stringy lace. Murky amber color. Ugly ass brew. Nose of spoilt malts, not much else. Light bodied, pastey, ok carbonation. Some watery maltiness, light nutty notes, soapy flavors and some caramel malts in there. Dry, lightly astingent finish. These folks need to invest more $$ into their brews than their packaging. Package gets a 10 out of 10.

A nice small brewery I visited a decade or so ago. This was the only beer available that day. It wasn’t that good. A clear light mahogany pour with a light tan colored cap. No lacing. Aroma is heavy on the caramalt. Although there are hints of grass, yeast, and weak floral hops. Average mouthfeel. The taste is tilted again towards the caramel flavors. The lack of balance in this beer is grating.
