Taps barely translucent cola brown, not much head. Aroma presents malty and caramel notes plus a hint of horehound. Flavor delivers caramel, malty and subtle horehound tones. Smooth, firm, fizzy texture finishes the experience. Overall, not too shabby.

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in the original Zwönitzer seidla a clear rich-burgundy coloured Bock with a one finger beige and creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Sustained carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is roasted and caramel malts, roasted coffee beans, spicy, licorice and notes of ashes. The flavour is roasted malts, riped fruits, plums, spicy, licorice, notes of ashes. The mouthfeel is fulled, sparkling, thick, a bit sticky and syrupy. The texture is oily. This medium to full bodied Dunkler Bock has a dry malty and fruity finish. A very pleasant Dunkler Bock from the Erzgebirge.
