Summer Wheat is described as a traditional hefeweizen beer, brewed with a Hallertau hops, a combination of wheat and barley malts and an authentic Bavarian-style top fermenting yeast. "It's typically a refreshing summer-time drink, that's what's key," he said. "It's got some banana and clove aroma to it. Those flavors that make it unique are really contributed by the yeast strain. That was the driving force behind it."

poured a dark amber organish color with a very small white head that did not last long and left no lacing. The aroma was of wheat, bananas. Was highly carbonated and easy to drink

Pours slightly hazy golden with a typical eggshell head. Surprisingly strong aroma delivers wheat, malt, yeast, banana, and yes, a hint of cloves. Flavor lives up to the promise of the aroma, though the fruity and yeasty notes are not as strong, while some hops manage to sneak into the mix. Texture features typical body and fizz. Still, a satisfying beer any time of year.

I was going to sample a 6-pack of this last summer, and have been a little curious. A buddy gave me a single to sample, which was plenty enough to get the idea. Wheats are hit or miss for me, and this one falls a little short. Drinkable and I guess refreshing if super cold, but there are better economy summer ales out there.

Pours out cloudy and dark gold. The aroma is instantly of banana and wheat. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. The flavor is slightly sweet but not artificial. It's all wheat, malt and banana. I will buy more of these.

A deep orange-amber color with a small fizzy textured white head. That head fades rather quickly leaving barely any discernable lacing. The aroma is a wonderful mix bubblegum, yeast, banana, wheat and spice. The taste follows suit in the profile. Effervescent, high carbonation, light. An easy drink.
