This is a pretty good beer, it smells nice, it looks great in a nice pint glass, it has a good flavor going down but the only thing i have against it even though i drink it a lot is that its just way to carbonated for me, it almost bites you in a bad way, but still its good for a twist off beer hahaha

Clear dark ruby, small light brown lacing foam head. Sweet caramel aroma and smooth light bitter caramel taste. Finally a decent beer from this brewery. (Chicago 201510)

Thanks to my parents for bringing this back from the States. Pours a brown colour with a frothy beige head and a little lacing. Roasted malt scent with some notes of dark fruits and other fruity yeast. The taste is milder with the dark fruits, burnt malts and yeast. Mild bitterness in the finish. A decent macro brew that mixes a porter and a premium lager.

This is my frequuent after work beer. Being a Porter/Lager blend, it's a Black and Tan light! Roasted carmel malt flavor. Somewhat dry mouth feel: can have citrusy overtones depending on food eaten before or with it. Great with mexican food, ribs, barbeque,or burgers.

Pours a semi-opaque dark brown in color with lots of amber and reddish highlights when held up to the light with a tall beige head that reduces to nice lacing. The aroma is malty sweetness with some light hints of caramel. The flavor really follows the aroma of the beer, caramel and grainy malt sweetness dominate the flavor. Very little hop presence and almost no bitterness.

this is my staple House Dark brew. depending on the season I use it with crustacians ....fish ....pork and beef...and southern fried chicken. In my house ...it annually beats out Mich Amber

First of all, shouldn't a real black and tan separate in the glass? The beer pours a dark brown into the glass, with a tan head. Lots of roasted malt and nuttiness in the aroma. The flavour is similar. Not a lot of traditional porter flavours to be found here.

From the tap it is a rich deep sable, almost black. Aroma is malty and smoky with strong coffee overtones, very inviting. Flavor is rich and satisfying, tasting of burnt coffee with hints of chocolate - what I call a "stouty" flavor. It is smooth yet lively, very pleasing and drinkable.

Medium bodied with a decent head and nice lacing. I prefer my Black & Tan with Guinness Stout and Bass Ale from the tap, this is a nice beer to have with a meaty meal.

I bought this while on vacation in Florida. Yuengling isn't sold in Arkansas, and I always enjoyed it on trips up north. It pours very dark with a nice tan head. Not much nose or else the ocean breeze blew it away. THe flavor is roasty and pleasant. The price is ridiculously low for the quality, but I am a nostalgic fan of the brewery from Pennsylvania. i happily sipped it while my friends built pyramids from all the miller lite cans. It's a matter of taste... :)

A good beer for a good price. This is the one that got me started on darker beers many years ago. It has a nice flavor of roasted malts and a bit of hops. This is one to get if you are broke and looking for some brew...it beats the watered down pee flavored stuff. This is a good one to offer to those that claim they don't like "dark" beer...it may change their mind.
