At a fantasy football draft, finished the growler and single that I brought. There was a bunch of these and regular Yuengling in the fridge, so figured I'd grab a Y' Light to review since I never sampled. Basically a watered down version of Yuengling. Not much more to say.

Clear dark yellow, off-white lacing foam head. Barley aroma, some acid and barnyard there too. Similar in taste, not the best beer ever. (Atlanta 201505)

I had this beer MANY MANY times and just assumed that I had reviewed it. I had it the other day, AGAIN, and it is the best of the "Lite" beers. not bad. Decent body and refreshing. I'll continue to dring this beer - it's fine!

Color is typical straw-yellow. Aroma is weak and unimpressive. Taste is very thin, more like water than beer. It reminds me of the quip that light beers are like doing gymnastics on the beach - flipping close to water. OK, so I've been spoiled by the good stuff. At least I like Yuengling's other offerings.

Pours a light golden amber color with a thick white foam head that doesn't stick around for very long but does leave a few rings of lace. The aroma is a faint caramel malt and grain scents. The taste is a nice light sweetness initially with a touch of grassy hops and grain in the finish. Toasted bread and caramel malt round out the flavor. Very nice flavor considering the style. Overall a very drinkable and easily one of the best that I have had thus far.

Offered to me at a fondue dinner party. Decent for a light beer, but still a light beer. Light straw colored pour, medium sized white head and spotty lacing. Mild corn, grass and biscuits. Light bodied with a touch of cardboard in the finish.

This is a good solid light beer. Drank out of the bottle so no report on the pour. I will enjoy this during lent it will help me lose 10 pounds gained from winter solstice and the stouts I have been eating. It is smooth and flavorful for a light beer.

For a light beer this is close to top notch. I would say it may fall short of Sam Adams Light, but just barely. A better than average tasting light beer for a fairly decent price.

A cloudy amber colored lager. Big frothy white head that settles into an unexpectedly decent lacing. The aroma is weak. Light notes of hops can be discerned if the nose is pressed into the glass. The body is light, somewhat short of watery. There is a smoothness which makes this a drinkable brew. The tastes are light as well, but enough notes of malt to make you wonder as I did, “this is a light beer?”

I just didn't care for this beer too much. It looks nice for a light beer, the mouthfeel was light beer, I just found it to have an unusual taste that I couldn't get past. I like the regular Yuengling, but this is just not good.
