Can: Poured a medium yellow color lager with a light bubbly head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of corn adjunct and not much else. Taste is also dominated by adjunct thought not overly gross but really lacking in any complexity whatsoever. Body is thin with medium carbonation. I ma not sure why the LCBO feel the need to import such crap.

THis is the worst member of the Yankee Jim lineup. It's nothing like the ice beers that I remember from the 90s. The beer pours a translucent golden colour and smells like sewage. The taste is very strong, and very bitter, but not a hoppish bitterness. An awful beer.

Nother marginal price for a good price. Nothing exceptional, with a sickly sweet taste and very bland flavour/mouthfeel and apperance. Not recommended.

Tastes like a Pabst BLUE RIBAND smooth a bit watery with sudsy taste tastes best if thirsty and on a HOT DAY goes down E-Z and does not give you that dull headache after, does have a pleasant after effect, after a few minutes you feel relaxed, highly recommended for a hot sunny day!!

The can said it was a big hole brew made in Utica so that seems that Matt has contract brewed this stuff for the North east and Canadian market. Another macro adjuct beer not worth the time and certainly not a true ice beer taste. Sickly pale straw...huge soda fountain bubbles, no cap, no detectable aroma....weak body watery, dry... high amounts of corn dextrose and rice in the body... undetectable hops...cheap beer bit at least clean with no off tastes...should be popular in campus dorms where money is tight to get tight.

what is it with upstate new york. you guys just cannot brew beer. this and it's counter-part are the only beers i've ever had that are worse than anything with the gennesse name on it. when you can get a 6-pack for under 8 bucks in ontario, then it has to be cheap.

This Yankee Jim Ice is actually not bad, for an ice beer. The colour is not as nice as the Genesee Ice (reviewed tonight). Plain golden lager colour with not much head and lace to show for. The aroma is of sweet malt. In the taste, there is some bitterness. Crisp finish. Not too shabby.
