Raspberries and beer may seem like a strange combination, but folks have been brewing with fruit for hundreds of years. Wild Rose has been creatively brewing our award-winning beers since 1996 and in that time our WRaspberry Ale has become a year-round favourite. The tart taste of fresh (whole!) raspberries provides the perfect finish for our light, crisp, easy-drinking ale. Wild Rose's passion for great beers and an ongoing dedication to using only the freshest ingredients have helped us to create Alberta's wildest beers. Put some colour in your life and drink the pink. You will not find any preservatives in this thirst quenching ale. But additives? That's a different story, as each brew of Wild Rose WRaspberry Ale is infused with thousands of natural, juicy-red additives called raspberries.

Light browny gold with hints of red I guess you could call it a peach color, no cap was produced at all but the beer does appear to be very fizzy. Aroma is powdery and sharp, with sour raspberry and wet hay. I’m already sick/bored of this beer and I haven’t even taken a sip yet. The brew seems watered down and has a thin dry flavor. A powdery sour candy with rose water and stinging carbonation. Malts are light and flavorless. Beer isn’t horrid its just not a good one to think about, just slam it on a hot day at the lake and you’ll be fine.

A refreshing fruit beverage from the ale makers in Calgary known as Wild Rose. I suppose they used wild Raspberries in this too. They say 'Drink the pink', well I've drank the pink, except it was more of a pinkish orange. Grassy malt and weak raspberry are the odours du jour. The raspberries are a little more noticeable in the taste because they lend a refreshing tartness.

Pretty darn good for your average fruit beer. It is beery, lgihtly hoppy, the hops are definatly, though subtly present on the nose and the taste. It has a nice refreshing feel to the beer, without being intensively skunky or swill like. Enjoyable but will not drink again.

Orange/pink in appearance, with a very minimal head. Fruity taste which is tart not sweet. Aroma is not particularly appealing although it is not horrible.

Poured a dark peach color (tinge of pink in straw)....medium carbonation... Had a chunky 2 finger cap that laced out quickly and clings to the glass through the drink. Aromas of berries, and grassy hop...sweet malt as well. Started fairly tart, light fluid mouth feel, sweetish malty body that finishes with a decent bready aftertaste punctuated with a twang of berry tartness....a nice light summer drink but for my preferences I’d rather see Wild Rose shelve this one as a seasonal and put the cherry porter into year round production.

Originally brewed as a summer seasonal, it proved popular enough be available year-round. Served draft, so little or no head by the time it arrived (but it was served in a Wild Rose glass). Golden color with a pinkish tinge. Aroma is tartness of raspberries, and fruit smell, not sugary or sweet. Taste is a of a soft wheat beer beer with more raspberry flavor. Because it is brewed with whole berries and not extract or syrup, it is a nice balanced taste - tart, not sweet. It is kind of thin, and not really exciting, but for its style, very good.
