This special drink is made from the finest specialty malts and local honey. It is further distinguished by the addition of home grown chili added in the storage tank. The honey gives it a fruity character which is crossed by soft, toasty notes. The highlight is the finish, which allos you to immediately feel the sharpness of the chili. But, this is so unobtrusive that it remains a delight inspite of the peculiar mixture. Recommended with well seasoned dishes such as Thai curry or Irish Stew.

    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

500 ml swing-top bottle, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Weyermann snifter an unfiltered and opaque dark-brown, close to black, coloured Porter with a short one finger tan foamy head that had a mid-sized retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is moderate roasted malts, moderate coffee beans, sourish fruits, raspberries. The flavour is sweety and roasted malts, coffeish and chocolate notes, honey and powerful spicy, chili. The mouthfeel is light crispy, quite thick and hot spicy ! The texture is oily. This medium bodied Porter has a lingering spicy hot finish. The aftertaste is hot chili warming the palate. The sweetness of the honey is not powerful enough to thwart the strengh of the chili. An unusual and very interesting brew, which is the try worth and will remind a long time in the tasting memory.
