Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8
500 ml swing-top bottle, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Weyerman Vase an unfiltered and light hazy ruby-brown coloured Roggen Bier with a generous two fingers beige, creamy, fine and dense foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is powerful toasted malts, bready, smokey notes. The flavour is deep grainy and roasted malts, rye, caramel, cocoa powder. The mouthfeel is creamy, thick, grainy and light syrupy. The texture is oily. This medium to full bodied Roggen Bier has a dry malty finish. If a one way beer, I like the feeling to eat grainy malts added to a slice of toasted bread.
