To celebrate our thirteenth year of brewing we decided to do something special to commemorate this momentous occasion. Thirteen is a Belgian-inspired Imperial Stout weighing in at 13.6%. This smooth elixir is made with 5 malts and a touch of oats. You'll find big chocolate and roasted notes, balanced with the Belgian flavors from the Abbey yeast strain. This beer is very smooth and lacks the astringency you sometimes find in these huge Imperial Stouts. Like all of our anniversary beers, this one should age nicely for years to come. It will be available in 12oz. and 22oz. bottles and sixtels in draft. Recipe by Chris Wilson, Head Brewer.

From Singlemalter's beer collection. Beautiful, dark pour but this one had no head at all. Not much sound when I opened it either. hmmmm. THe nose- cocoa and homeade yeast rolls...That nice aroma will trick you into taking a big sip, but it is a 'small sip' beer. Don't be hasty or it will spank you. It burns all the way down.

Bottle: Poured a deep pitch-black color stout with a large dirt brown color ale with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of candy with some nice Belgian malt with light roastiness. Taste is also a very nice mix between some candy with some notes of roast malt and lightly sweet Belgian malt. Body is quite full with good carbonation and surprisingly not alcohol was apparent. Very well done overall and easily drinkable considering the ABV and nice experiment.

yale! another weyerbacher for me! ... pours a jet black, medium head .. . metal coco can, tar aromas .. . way outta balance, tons of over done sweetness, not exactly cloying but a mess... HUGE alcohol bite, needs at least a decade, after 10 years it might be passable .. ."Swing and a Miss" .. .

Poured a dark brown mostly blackish color with good head. Aroma was of dark fruits and good chocolate. Flavor was nice lots of spices worked to keep the chocolate sweetness down dark fruits that were in the aroma were almost a no show. Good beer.

Bottle from SL, courtesy bfeld. The pour was dark blackish color, choco-colored head, good lacing. The aroma was sweet dark fruits with lots of chocolate, was expecting a pure Belgian Strong initially, but this was Belgian Stout-Strong upon the first whiff. The flavor worked great for me, rich chocolate notes, slight roast, lots of spicing (but in a great way, nothing over the top in that regard), licorice, some dark fruits. Mouthfeel was full, not really sticky though for the style, pretty good brew.

A new one from Weyerbacher here and it is so good to be able to get this brewer's beers now in Georgia. Aroma on the monster is pleasantly roasty with some nice faint spice notes as well as chocolate, cocoa, and Belgian yeast. Appearance is pitch black but a very dark mahogany when held to the light with a massive head on tp that is ever expanding and brown in color and laces the glass nicely and is very creamy. Mouthfeel is very robust as well as very full and thick with extreme complexity as well as remarkable balance with a palate that is creamy and syrupy but damn fine. Flavor is full of chocolate overtones as well as cocoa and creamed coffee with some spiciness and has an aftertaste that is full of Belgian yeastiness and roasted malts with a finish that is clean as well as smooth with some alcohol making itself known but still very good. Overall, interesting brew we have here and is more of an imperial Foriegn/Export Stout in my opinion but regardless; this beer is big and this beer is srong and dark and could use some aging for sure to mellow it out more. Recommended!!!!

Super dark pour, pillowy head and lacing which tells the tale of sips gone by. A wonderful roasted aroma with a little spice to tickle the nose. Huge chocolatey base with dark roast and a superbly complimenting vinous presence. A slight alcohol burn only enhanced the experience. This beer was delicious. Everyone should seek one!
