The poured a beautiful translucent rusty red colour with a thin white rocky head. The aroma is some roasted malt, with a hoppy background. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with ample carbonation. The flavour is malty with just a little hops. I was expecting a more hoppish flavour profile.

This beer is a pale ale in name only as it’s a solid amber colour with a huge white head. Quite a bit of effervescence. Aroma is weak and almost non-descript. There are bready malts and perfumy hops present, but nothing overpowering. The flavour is bland and non-offensive but nothing that makes you gag.

Had a pint at Pour Boy just after the Dark Ale. Arrived with no head whatsoever once again. Poor lacing, seems watery. Has a light amber/copper appearance. Aromas are quite faint, light malts and hops. Flavours are slightly sweet with herbal and floral hops. Very mild citrus hops as well as dark fruity flavours. Watery mouthfeel. Medium retention. Also a good beer, would try again.

On tap. Caramel malts, long boil goldings, thin mouth feel, light bitter finish. Hard to tell Wellington ales apart these days. This is just short of boring. Won’t be back for more. Boring English styles are not my cup of tea.

Richly colored reddish copper body ¼” noisy tan cap floating on top, this be looking like a high quality brew. Aroma is smoky an I swear I’m smelling peanut I have never smelt that before in a beer. Aroma is nice and malty some sour toffee and mild hops round it out. Malty, malty flavor with a slight roast to it. Extremely mild coffee can be tasted, and a mellow hop presence witch I want to say grape fruit but I know that not correct so I’ll just call it citrus. Great bitterness with a lingering sweet after taste. There are tons of little subtle flavors coming through that are hard to describe. Great EPA!!!!!!!!

Will this be close to the English style? Turns out to be a decent Canadian version. Pours out a nice deep amber brew with a large off white foamy cap that stays around for the entire length of the tasting. Very nice rich sweet caramel aroma with some roasted character that goes well with yummy hops. The taste is not bad, this is very drinkable but comes across light in the flavour department. Caramel, hops, that's about it. Leaves a nice soft bitter reminder well after. Fluffy mouth feel, ample hops when warmer. An average EPA.

The Wellington County brewery has always been a sore spot with me as they have produced some wildy inconsistent beer over the years. I was hoping for a hoppy brew with this offering, but they missed the spot. First off, it pours an amber colour, unlike most English Pales. Secondly, the nose is more malt than hops. Third, the flavour profile has weak flavours. I give it a D-

As mentioned in another review, the beer poured a perfect amber colour, slightly darker than I had expected. A moderately fine frothy head that settled slowly brought some excitement in taking my first sip. Unique but light nose. Very smooth to drink with limited carbonation. This is a very good and I hope to have more of it in the future.

A decent Canadian microbrew. First of the line that i've tried. Nice apperance and a smooth attack. Very full of hops and a nice finish as well. Decent beer, especially for the Price. Recommended.
