Comes out of the bottle a bubbly, translucent mahogany with a thick and rather persistent pale tan head. Strong, malty aroma has smoky and dusty hops notes and a hint of caramel. Malty flavor has a firm note of woody hops, rather like hay, with a caramel touch. Texture has above average strength and fizz, leaving a malty and woody finish.

Bottle courtesy of durhambeer. Pours black with a thin white head. Smells of chocolate, dark fruit, light spice. tastes of tarte fruit, some sweet malt. Nice spicy finish.

Pours fairly still from the bottle. A deep bay, almost brown color with a thin and fleeting off-white head. The aroma is mostly malt and some sweet caramel. Taste is predominantly sweet. Mouthfeel is flat and a little thinner than expected. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter, since there is no hint of bitterness in aroma or taste. Kind of a take it or leave it beer.

Beer poured dark, dark brown with smallish head. Flavor was half lager, half stout...difficult to describle...malty maybe a little nutty, definite coffee roastedness. Enjoyable. Don't cry, little radish!

Weeping Radish Black Radish poured a light black (if there is such a black). It packed a solid taste with a mostly malty flavor. This is the best offering from Weeping Radish.

Pour a dark brown, mabye black hard to tell in plastic cup. Head disapated quickly. Smelled of malts and caramel. Could taste caramel. chocolate and coffee. Medium to heavy mouthfeel, very nice beer.

Poured dark brown-black color with a nice initial head that turned to near nothing. There was some lacing. The aroma was malty and caramel-like. The flavor was of caramel, chocolate, and coffee with a slightly smokey finish. Mouthfeel was moderate to heavy. Enjoyable.

This beer makes me yawn....there’s my first and most prominent observation. This beer pours a deep ruby red color, clear, with a thin pearlish head which dissipated quickly and no lacing. The aroma light with malt and plums/cherries. Perhaps a hint of roasted cocoa in there as well and a hint of espresso. The flavor is watery, light bodied and uninteresting with little redeeming qualities. Finding flavor is this lightly carbonated mono-tasting beer was tough! Some plums and cherry, a hint of espresso, oakyness and malt. This was honestly boring me into sleep. No good qualities, no bad qualities, just sort of a liquid going on its merry way.

Dark brown color. Small head. Aroma is indistinct, but it slightly malty and sweet. A light to medium bodied dunkel. Malts are fairly mild, slightly malty and slightly sweet. Hops? Iím sure they are there, but no sure where. Slightly bitter and floral? Itís a little thin tasting for a dukel. Has enough flavor to make it interesting and would make a good summer beer. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Black Radish poured a dark amber/ brown color with a small quickly diminishing off white head leaving very little lace. Aroma was roasted malt and caramel. Mouthfeel was medium bodied and smooth. Flavor was rich roasty notes, some sweet malt and a nice sweet aftertaste.
