Slightly Sweet and fruity, hops have a pine and citrus smell and taste. OK, nothing special. Very drinkable. Full and clear finish, decent crisp mouthfeel.

thick bodied and gold in color. light tan head and minimal lacing. aroma slight in hops and slight citrus. taste is similar with a nice smooth finish. not as hoppy as I would expect from a pale ale, but maybe it's just strong in citrus that it's taking away the hoppiness?

A bit of irony here, me'thinks.
I go to Hawaii on a business trip, looking for beers from the heavily recommended Waimea Brewing Company -- and end up enjoying many different beers from Hawaiian breweries, but no luck finding any Waimea beers.
I come back, and bounce around the local beer stores, looking for more of those very same Hawaiian brewery beers I enjoyed while on The Islands, and what should I find but both the lager and pale ale from Waimea Brewing Company (in sketchy Imperial Beach CA, no less!).
Anyway, picked up a six-pack of this -- which is unussual for me, since I almost never grab a sixer of something I haven't had before. But the teal packaging appealed to the San Jose Shark in me, and I'm a sucker for American Pale Ales. :)
Glad to say that I was not disappointed. In fact, put down two of these this evening, while working on my kegerator's beer lines.
Good apearence, with plenty of lacing later on. And the aroma is spot-on, too. Not hugely hoppy in the nose, but enough to make you want to slow down and savor this, me'thinks.
And the flavor? No complaints there, either. Very PacNW in the hop bill, but with enough girth in the malt bill to make this lay well in the mouthfeel. Perhaps a bit harsh for a Pale Ale -- I can imagine this would be pushed as an IPA back East..., and a Double IPA in New England! ;^)
Either way, this was a nice drop..., and I'm glad I took the dive and got a sixer of this. Perhaps not too adventurous from the APA-norm, but still a worthwhile beer just the same. Recommended.

I am going to assume that Waimea Bay Pale Ale and Waimea Na Pali Pale Ale are the same beer. Light orange gold color. Small head, Aroma is fruity and malty, A medium to light bodied American Pale Ale. Malts are nutty fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly spicy and bitter. Itís a touch too sweet and a little watery. Also the aftertaste has a rather strange cardboard/vegetative taste to it. Other than that itís a standard tasting American Pale Ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This pale ale pours with a clear amber body topped by a medium thick, off-white head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is slightly bitter and hoppy with piney notes, a touch of flower and citrus, and a hint of sweet malt. The flavor is bitter and piney from the hops with a little citrus and a touch of malt. The finish is very bitter. Medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry.
