Our big, bold IPA that you've loved on draft is now available in bottles. This IPA is the best of both worlds - English & American hops (including some locally grown) combine for a full spectrum of citrus, pine & grassy hop aromas. Loads of hop bitterness (64 IBUs!!)are complemented with just enough malt body. Mike Levy of Great Lakes Brewing News says "This is just about the best new beer I've tried in a long time. A beautiful hop flavor & aroma reminiscent of IPAs indigenous to the Northwest." 6.2%ABV

Overall, a pretty solid IPA. Pours an orange/amber with medium sized off-white head that disipates slowly. Hops show thru in the aroma--grapefruit and pine notes--but also some honey that mellows it out. Taste is full of hop bitterness but not overwhelming. Very well balanced.

Tasted this at the 2008 TAP NY event. A very good tasting IPA with loads of hops balanced nicely by some sweetness from the malts. A golden yellow colored ale with a medium body that had aromas of flowers and citrus fruits, mainly lemons and grapefruits. I tasted some of the malts on the palate but the bitterness and citrus flavors of the hops were very apparent.

Brewtopia’04. Lots of grapefruit, my notes are nearly identical to argo0. Has a distinctive citrus pith punch, very east coast IPA-ish. Palate is nicely coating.

Poured a cloudy ligh amber with creme colored head with good lacing. The aroma was of hops with sweet overtones. The flavor was the same with you tasting the sweet before you tasted the hops. This is a really good effort

On the whole this brew is average. The aroma was hoppy and quite nice. It poured a light brown color with some lacing that lingered around the edges of the glass. The flavor had an iodine-like aftertaste to it, but it is worth a try just the same if you are sampling IPAs.

Visually quite attractive, but not really what I expect from an IPA. Its a slighly murky, light brown colour with orangy tinges..small off white head, leaves nice lacing. It has the usual IPA aromas, though a little subdiued also a slight honeyish scent. Unusual taste, very sweet then a nice hop bitterness...though this seems to balance rather weell for an American IPa, remeinds me a bit of some of the British IPA/Golden ales. Pretty darn nice on the tongue..smooth..long lasting after taste. Quite a nice IPA, rather different than the usual PNW IPA, but If i had to compare it would be akin to Bridgeport IPA
