Wow! An Awesome Beer! Hot Chocolate is a Chocolate Stout brewed with lots of Fair Trade organic cocoa & cayenne pepper. A real soft beer with light roasty flavors with good dark chocolate, & coffee notes and a nice, spicy, peppery finish.

Now Valkyrie Brewery. Same cool-ass Viking font "V" on label. This interesting little devil is from the PfoxyJohn. Pours a muddy medium brown, like slightly melted watered-down chocolate ice cream, with a tight short tan head, and some lacing. The chocolate come into the nose and palate first, nice and velvety, then BOOM, a dose of cayenne adds a building heat, not overwhelming by any means, just steady and persistent. Lightly sweet milk chocolate beer meet Mr. Cayenne Pepper is the perfect description for this beer. I like it. Thank you Mr. Pfister.

Not your normal hot chocolate here. Or a cold one either. Pours a murky brown colour with a fairly large tan head. Aroma has the initial chocolate, roasted smoked malt thing going on. But taste is where it drops. Very rich on the choco part, and a little too much cayenne mid palate. I get it, but not a big fan.

Now this is a different kind of hot chocolate. Drink it cold and find out the heat is in the cayane pepper. Pours out thick as a brick, dark ass chocolate. Very unique and interesting.

Well, springtime's not here yet; temps in the 70's yesterday and 50's today - time to bring out the hot chocolate. This may be a novelty beer, but I kind of like it. It pours a murky brown with a slight brown head; I can't help but think that there's all kinds of junk floating around in that thick sludge. The nose is chocolatey cardboard with a tinge of mint. Mouthfeel is light- to medium-bodied, but milk-stout smooth. The flavors, hit you full and rich - fine chocolate taste, with that kick of cayenne coming at you as the chocolate disappears. Finishes rather thin, however, with just some hot bitterness remaining.
