This pours out almost 100% black with a one inch tan lingering head. The aroma is of cocoa and light malt. The mouthfeel is rich and thick. The taste is balanced of malt, cocoa and light hop. Best chocolate beer I've drank so far.

Pours black with a thin tan head. The aroma is ultra sweet, lots of chocolate. The flavor is very chocolatey, with a lingering sweetness. Would be a good after dinner drink, but it has a weirdo fake flavor added thing going on that my palate doesn't love.

Pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma contains some chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is rather sweet with some vanilla, milk, dark chocolate. Some coffee bitter notes as well. Finish is bittersweet overall good beer.

I picked up a 4 pack of to give it an honest assesment. After draining all 4 I must say it is a good stout for chocolate lovers. Lots of chocolate aroma while pouring it into the glass. I got a weak head on the second two but that may have been my pour. The flavor is filled with chocolate and coffee but doesn't totally over power it. A good reasonably prices beer.

chocolate was definitely the main player in this brew, and it was done very, very well. very smooth on the palate, aroma of malted and milk chocolate, bordering on decadent. probably a pretty good stout underneath, but hard to say. not a ton of complexity, but i REALLY didn't care. Well crafted and delicious. Thanks again, Lou..this was a treat.

Thanks LOU, this was a hit at the monthly Houston BA tasting.. . Pours a dark brown, medium foam .. . love that retarded horse .. . sweet chocolate, bark, sweet bark, fireflies and brown sugar .. . very smooth, and pure .. . moohoo .. Today I dialed a wrong number... The other person said, "Hello?" and I said, "Hello, could I speak to Joey?"... They said, "Uh... I don't think so... he's only 2 months old." I said, "I'll wait."

A jet black color as one would expect. A small fuzzy textured, tan head rises briefly above. Not much hang time. Settles into a fairly thick soapy ringlet. The nose is faint roasted malt. The real assets of this beer come through in the tasting and body. A full, smooth body. A real sense of drinking milk. The chocolate is presence as milk (semi-sweet) chocolate and finishes this one up well.

Thanks to Lilihel's parent for bring this one up from Nashville, for Christmas 2010. Pours a dark colour with a creamy beige head that creates lots of lacing and decent retention. Mild sweet smell of chocolate and maple syrup. Smooth mouthfeel with a little stick. Milky chocolate taste with hints of vanilla and coffee. A decent sweet stout.

Looks like I'll be dropping the score on this beer. But to be fair, I did drink a Copper Crow Chocolate Thunder before this one, which I found to be superior. Never heard of this one when I ordered it, but gave it a try because I've never had a beer from George before. Anyway, had a somewhat average sweet stout chocolate aroma. Looked good with a thick brown head that held for a while. Super sweet chocolate flavor and medium full body. It was just waaaay too sweet for me. I know a sweet stout is supposed to be, but man. It was like they melted marshmallows in this thing.

Via trade from Bluesnbarbq. Pours a thick, rich black with a light tannish spattering of bubbles on top. Solid aroma a malty sweetness and hints of chocolate. The flavor, however, is dominated by chocolate. Almost like drinking chocolate pudding. The mouthfeel is so full...just thick enough to be deeply satisfying. I don't know if I could drink more than 2 or 3 of these in a row, but this is a my-T-fine chocolate beer. Thanks a bunch, Louis!
