Bottled. Slightly hazy orangeish amber colour with huge fluffy white head, leaves quite nice lace. Aroma is caramel malts, toffee as well as some fruityness. Flavour si very much the same. Hides the alcohol very well.

Nice bottlecap on this...pours a murky auburn color, good dispersement of yeast; an audible fizzy head leaves a soft cap on top. Yeasty aroma..... Lots of bready malts and honey, not much sweet but mild and well rounded. A floral kick to the finish. Some notes of hay, crusty bread, fermenty apple, ginger....Mouthfeel is smooth and bubbly. Some crispness, then a broad dryness in the end

Bottle. Hazy amber colour with a huge foamy white head. Sweet, malty, yeasty, fruity and caramel aroma. Flavours the same. Quite light with a softly carbonated mouthfeel. Nice.

Cloudy amber appearance, small white head. Big malty aroma of caramel, toffee and honey. Malty flavour of caramel, toffee, honey, grass ryebread and wood. Medium bitter woody finish. Sharp carbonation. Good beer

12.09.04 330ml bottle. Totally clouded copper-orange with an almost annoyingly persistent enormous head. Smells like a Belgian alright. Yeasty and spicey, peaches and ginger. Light and lively body with a surprisingly unctuous finish - maddeningly quaffable. Flavors are floral, biscuit, lots of honey across the middle, melon, lemon. Nice stuff.

An odd little bottle that I picked up more-or-less on a whim while in Seattle. "Tonicum Finiboldhus"....?? If my layman's knowledge of Latin serves me correctly, this translates out to "Very bold tonic". Along with the rather disturbing looking gnome-looking cartoon character on the front, this is indeed an oddity.
Pours with a thick and massive head -- very triple-like. The aroma was nice and fragrant: distinctly Belgian, that's for sure. Once the foam finally calmed down, one taste was enough to know both where this beer is coming from, and where it's going. Reminded very much of an user-friendlier version of Duvel. When put into that frame of reference, there isn't a lot more than needs to be said about this beer. Interesting, for sure, but as far as Belgian beers go, it could be more complex and challenging. Enjoyable, but could be so much more.

slightly hazy red-amber colour with a fine creamy head, nice lace, subtle aroma of strawberry, floral hoppiness, sweet with a light bitterness, the finish is moderately dry with notes of red fruits - nice balance between malty and fruity

The bottle practically blew up in my hands upon opening it. The foam was everywhere. Remarkably the golden orange body was topped by very little head. The aroma is spicy and malty with orange accents and a touch of yeast. Some alcohol is notice in the nose. Spicy malt flavor with piney notes and a small hint of yeast and orange. The finish is relatively short and piney with a touch of sweetness. Medium to full bodied, a touch dry with a little tingle.

Nothing really complex about this. Nice orangey color, decent head, mild fruity/yeasty nose. Crisp, slight fleshy fruit flavor. Very easy to drink. Would be a good one after mowing the lawn. Probably needs to age a couple years for fullest taste.
