The new Éphémère cerise is a white, Belgian-type ale, with fine bubbles that create a lacy eggshell foam, says Sylvain Bouchard, beer sommelier at the brewery. Fruity but not sweet, it evokes the freshness of a fine rosé wine, leaving a dry finish reminiscent of wild cherries.

Pour was brutle, 1/4" of beer 6" of light pink foam. Heavy perfume/soap with a massive sweet fake cherry. Rose water and lots of it. Taste seems fake and powdery. To sweet, strange hidden funk. Disappointed a rare miss by Unibroue.

Was surprise to find this one at the LCBO before seeing it in any Quebec store. Always nice to see a new Éphémère flavour, but noticed the taste of all Unibroue seems to become milder and milder with time. This one pours a slightly cloudy amber colour with a light pink hue found also in the white bubbly head. Decent retention with a little lace, but goes down quickly. Sour cherry aromas with a little sweetness and lots of yeast. The typical Unibroue yeast is also the strongest in the taste. Again, the cherries are way too mild. Still good, but really wish they could up the flavour strength.

Pours a relatively large fizzy head that goes away fairly quick and leaves a thin coating. Has a cloudy pinkish appearance. Aromas of mild Belgian yeast, light cherry notes and wheats. Cherry flavour is pretty immediate and noticeable but quite subtle with just enough mixed in with malts. Also some yeast notes, spices and mild citrus hops. Full bodied, excessive carbonation. Gives a puckering chalky like mouthfeel. Pretty good as you can actually taste some cherries, but also filling as in only one bottle or two per session.

The beer pours a hazed cherry-red hued gold, which a long lasting white head and plenty of effervescence.. Aroma is tart cherries, yeast, and funk. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation. Flavour is cherry, yeast, and barnyard notes.

Caged cork bottle - decants a orangey-pink clouded ale with a 2 finger cap. Very effervescent. Aroma is very enticing fruity, some alcohol almost like a rose wine. Flavor follows aroma fruit, some light yeast funk, berry fruity but tart, dry tart finish with a wine-like discernment. Probably the best of the L'ephemere series.
