Pours the typical amber o fan IPA with a 2 finger head that takes its time going down. Fairly well carbonated this one is. Aroma is very hoppy with hints of spices. Taste is mineral water like with hints of hops, sticky malts, and spices. Slight fruit sweetness in the taste. Ends with a slight dryness with a sticky feeling. Fairly good IPA.

So what do you do when citra hops are running short?... add orange peel of course... Hey why didn't I think of that?! Now in another five years we can add grapefruit peel! The only question is do we go to the traditional white grapefruit camp? Or the newer, sweeter, ruby red grapefruit peel camp? I don't know but if I get on it right now I can eventually rule the world!! Otherwise, fine orange color, nice little hop bite that's smooth and non-numbing, plus the pirate story on the label will get a good laugh... Funny label? Does this mean it's a chick beer?!

One more hopped up Wisconsin IPA via heybeerman, and it's a nice one. Fruity citrus and calm evergreen. Good balance allowing some toast and caramel to show through. Apricot and orange are in there as well. Dark copper body, with a lot of suspended floaties. Juicy, smooth and nicely bitter.

Picked this up because Tyranena makes good beers and this sounded particularly interesting. I was a little disappointed though since I expected the orange peel to add more orange/citrus flavor than it did. Ended up tasting like a fairly standard IPA.

Pours an amber/copper color with a whitish tan head with some decent lacing. Citrus and pine notes dominate the nose. Tastes of sweet malt, orange oil and subdued hops, which results in a bitter, dry finish. A unique taste, but for someone who is a hophead, this one misses the mark for me, as the hops seem to be lacking a bit. Still tasty and probably make a good summer quaff.

Bought this beer at Whole Foods in Madison, WI. Pours a copper color with a nice thick head. Aroma of malts, citrus is heavy in the smell. Nice flavor with a bit of bitterness and orange/citrus flavor comes through at the end. Very impressive! Would love more of this.

Nice to see this one around: Pours a clear orange colour with a decent sized white head. A noticeable amount of lacing left behind on the glass all the way to the bottom. Aroma of pine, grapefruit scent and lime peels. Taste is full and creamy, mildly bitter but i expected that.

Bottle: Poured a deep orangey color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of bitter hops is dominating with some discernable citrus notes. Taste is also a nice enough mix between some citrus notes with some hoppy bitter finish. The orange peel is a nice addition though it is hard to taste considering the amount of hops included in this beer.

This IPA pours a medium amber color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is citrusy, piney and sweet. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are piney and grapefruity. A fairly bitter, but yet a fairly sweet IPA. Nice balance of flavors. Another solid beer from Tyranena. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Courtesy of pfoxyjohn. Pours a nice amber with a tannish head leaving good lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of sweet malts, citrus hops and bitter orange peel. Taste is upfront with the hops with a nice bitterness included from the orange peel and a slightly sweet maltiness.
