Another one courtesy of pfoxyjohn. Pours a nice clear amber with a short-lived white head leaving a bit of lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of sweet malts and caramel with a slight bready quality and a bit of hops. Taste is smooth and easy to drink with a slightly sweet maltiness and touch of hops in a dry finish. Danke schön John!

On draught at the Malt House: Poured a clear dark amber colour with a huge white head. Aroma was slightly malty, with barely noticeable caramel notes. Taste was very very metallicy, not sure if it was a bad keg or what. Soft biscuity character, otherwise metallic taste was a big turn off.

Bright, clear amber color with a moderate persistant off-white head. Mildly spicy, malty nose. Very smooth, rich, full mouthfeel. Well-balanced soft palate expressed in a subtle complexity of flavors. Lightly toasted fresh grain with a long rich finish. This is an Oktoberfest with steady, unflashy character without being boisterous or overly sweet. A very nice beer and easily the dominant "middle panel" in tonight's Märzen triptych.
