Brewed with an orgy of hops to satisfy the cravings of the most indulgent of hop heads. Hop flavors, aromas and bitterness dominate. Balanced with rich caramel malts and enhanced with the spiciness of rye. Catch a Bitter Woman in the rye.

Bottle from bockyhorsey, another MidWest grab by him for me. Poured similar to the Bitter Woman IPA, amber and fairly clear. Pretty big pfffssst upon bottle opening, some suds jumped out actually. The head was also larger than with the standard Bitter Woman. The aroma was strong bitter and floral hops, can’t say I smelled much different, caramel too. The flavor followed, but the bitterness was much longer lingering than with the standard Bitter Woman brew, piney elements along with the floral. This was a nice IPA, good kick in the end. After one more brew tonite, I’ll be ready for bed. Thanks, Bill!

Got this via trade. 12 oz. bottle into a standard pint glass. An aggressive pour yields a reddish-copper with a one-inch head which quickly dissapates into a creamy coating and minimal sticky lacing. Nose reveals the expected rye, some floral and earthy notes as well as some sweeter ones of citrus and brown sugar. The taste is some citrus, spice (peppery), caramel and rye. The finish is dry and mildly bitter but its the rys and pepper that pervades. Mouthfeel is medium, a little slick and oily and with light to medium carbonation. This is a respectable IPA that isn't like every other, but not one I would fight to get again.

Pours a hazy dark copper with a medium off-white head that just won't disappear. Aroma of grapefruit jumps out along with rye. Bitter tasting with citrus and rye notes along with just a bit of malt sweetness to add balance. Easy drinking and very tasty but I prefer Founders for their rye IPA.

Another Wisconsin Winner from pfoxyjohn. This one pours a nice, clear amber with a thick head and tons of lacing. Big, pungent rye and grapefruit hops in the aromas along with a caramelly sweet maltiness. Taste is much as the aromas, with big rye and grapefruit hops upfront cut by a slightly sweet maltiness. A very nice brew - this brewery makes some very high quality beers.

Another winner from Tyranena: Pours a clear copper colour with a thin head that leads behind a trail of noticeable layered sticky weblike lacing. Instantly on the nose however is the RYE! Rye is unavoidable and it's a perfect harmony between Rye and hops. Hoppy and clear from beginning to end. Maybe it's the fog but everything has become so much clearer now...
