A big, hoppy IPA with plenty of bite! Our assertive, hop-centric Double IPA has a lean malt backdrop and is brewed with four American hop varieties – Summit, Palisade, Cascade and Magnum. Piney, citrus, floral, not-for-the-timid!

A hazed medium gold pour, topped by an off-white cap that lingers, but lacing is minimal. Cereal malt is the primary aromatic with weak hints of pine and grapefruit. Mouthfeel is average. Flavor is very malty, the bitter fruit and pine don’t really cut through the sweetness of the malt. A hot mess as the younger generation would say.

4-pack of cans pouring a hazy golden-orange colour with a warm bubbly cap, decent lasting with some foamy lace. Sweet malty rich nose with some pineapple juice hints in the background, citrus and herbal hoppiness. The taste is not as sweet with the hops balancing things. The bitterness is quite nice actually. The alcohol is felt, but not too bad. Could drink of few of these, so good to have the 4-pack.

Opaque golden yellow with lasting lacing white foam head. Aroma is stark hoppy with some citrus notes. Tastes strong bitter (not a surprise) with again some citrus tones, also some floral (Madrid 201405)

Well they kicked it up to 8% but the rest of this review is still pretty accurate 8 years later.Moderate nose of pine and orange, fairly standard. Medium amber body topped by nice white head with goo lace. Mouth is medium, nothing special. As the brewer says, not much malt, lots of hops., kinda lacking in flavor but strongly unflavored bitterness. Fairly neutral in taste, not much flavoring hops, not citrus or floral in flavor. A bit buttery for an IPA. Finish is super dry and slightly medicinal. this brewery is close to making good beers (I've had their Saison) but they just miss. need to work the recipe and get serious. At 7.2 "Double IPA is a bit of a stretch, alcohol present but mild.
